History

While much of the land surrounding Gledswood Hills remains semi-rural, the suburb forms part of one of Sydney's most rapidly growing population regions. Gledswood Hills was gazetted as its own suburb in 2011 and is named after the heritage-listed Gledswood Estate. Formerly a vineyard, colonial farm and homestead, the Gledswood Estate was built between 1827 and 1855 and today operates as a historic home and wedding venue.
