Hammondville is a residential suburb located 31 kilometres southwest of Sydney`s central business district, in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. Hammondville first developed as a residential suburb during the Great Depression. It was founded in 1933 and was largely home to destitute families suffering economic hardship.
